P4A Researchers Present at Fall Conferences

Conference season is in full swing, and our researchers are sharing their latest findings on how policies from all sectors influence population health, well-being, and equity.

IAPHS

In October, P4A researchers teamed up for a joint panel at the 2018 fall conference of the Interdisciplinary Association for Population Health Science (IAPHS).

The presentation, “Income Support, Tax, and Labor Policy Impacts on Health Outcomes,” explored three policies designed to supplement the income of low-wage workers and families—income supplements, minimum wage, and the earned income tax credit—and their effects on health and well-being. Panelists included:

  • Amelie Petitclerc, PhD, Northwestern University
  • Anuj Gangopadhyaya, PhD, Urban Institute
  • Fredric Blavin, PhD, Urban Institute

Also at IAPHS, Ingrid Gould Ellen of the NYU Wagner School Research Hub presented “Subsidized Housing Renovations and Health,” and Paula Lantz of the University of Michigan Research Hub was a discussant on the keynote address, “Policy-Relevant Evidence for Population Health: Promise and Challenges.”

The session recordings will be available soon!

APPAM

On November 8, a transdisciplinary panel of P4A researchers will present on the impacts of housing assistance on health at the Fall Research Conference of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM). The panel includes:
