Courtnee Melton-Fant
Courtnee Melton-Fant, PhD, MS, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Health Systems Management and Policy in the School of Public Health at the University of Memphis. Before joining the University of Memphis, Dr. Melton-Fant worked for a state-level public policy research center providing information and analysis to policymakers, the media, and the general public. Her research examines the relationships between subnational policies and politics and racialized health and economic inequities. Her current research focuses on the health and economic effects of workers’ rights preemption, the connections between local housing policy and racial health inequities, and the use of research evidence in state legislatures. Her research has been funded by the Russell Sage Foundation, the William T. Grant Foundation, and The Commonwealth Fund.
