Ron Hayduk is a professor of political science at San Francisco State University who has published several books and articles about immigration, social movements, and voting rights, including Democracy for All: Restoring Immigrant Voting Rights in the United States (Routledge) and a report about San Francisco’s immigrant voting rights program.

  • Local Resident Voting and the Civic Inclusion of Non-citizen Immigrants

    Several municipalities in the U.S. now allow non-citizen immigrants to vote in local elections, a step that promotes civic participation and community belonging. This project will study how these voting rights affect civic inclusion among non-citizen residents in Hyattsville, MD, Beltsville, MD, and San Francisco, CA.
